Long time no post. [10 Aug 2008|11:11pm]
It's been awhile since I have posted on this.

A lot has been going on lately with life.

Since last time i posted this is what has been going on.

-Alcina has released our second EP independently. We recorded up in Indiana with this sweet dude named Ryan Atkins (Haste the Day/D12). It was an awesome experience and we got to hang out with some new and old friends which is always a treat. After the album got mixed we sent it off to Troy Glessnar(Underoath/Norma Jean) for mastering. We release the album on May 2nd, 2008 and they've been selling pretty well.
- We have done some touring here and there just trying to get back on our feet and we had an awesome week at cornerstone, a lot better than two years ago. Cornerstone was just full of amazing experiences and major hangoutage.
- Sasha and I are doing quite well, we have been dating for a year and 7 months now. I love that girl with all of my heart, which when i met her my heart was as cold as ice. I can't wait for our future together, just to see what happens.

that is basically it.
my life rules.
srsly.

life update [03 Dec 2007|02:35am]
[ music | Inked In Blood ]

for those who will/still read this...

My life so far has been amazing.
I've basically been gone a month and a half then back from for 2 weeks then gone for another month.
- the 1st month and a half I was out with A Plea for Purging, doing merch and helping them out when ever i could. I was deemed the nickname 'Mark $kid'(because i didnt change underwear for a week and well i had some skid marks in my undies..)The 1st half of the tour was amazing, i got to know the dudes in APFP really well, like i've always been friends with them but on that tour we became bros! I also got to know the dudes in Burden of a Day, which they are awsome dudes and an awsome band. The tour went from Alabama all the way to the west coast, then we left those dudes and went back to Cali and met up with the dudes in War of Ages and Inked In Blood. At first i was a little timid to meet the IIB dudes, due to massive rumors about the dudes, but all of those rumors were so false. They are some serious bros with me now and i love those dudes and cant wait to see them again. Of course their bus smells like Captian's D's and Chinese Food, but amazing guys and dipping buddys, so is Tj from WOA, sooo many standing around shooting the shit and massive dips in the mouth.
That tour went up and down the country, I sadly left the tour in Kentucky to get my head back in the game with Alcina.
- The 2 weeks i was home was basically spent around getting the new dudes in Alcina ready with the songs for tour and writing some new stuff before we went out on the road, and with my amazing girlfriend Sasha and of course my family. It was kind of a bummer that I never got to see some friends I wanted to see but I had to get some stuff in order first.
- The Tour that Alcina did was about 3 and a half weeks long with APFP which I was so excited about, due to the fact on this tour I became more than bros, I became apart of Family that I will never forget for as long as i live. This tour was amazing, just for the fact I was back on stage doing what I love. There were some money issues and alot of tire issues on the tour but we were taking care of and looked after were ever we went. I got to go to alot of states I never really thought of going to (Nebraska,Wyoming,Colorado..etc) By the way I despise Wyoming. I wouldnt mind that state being blown up, just for the fact an hour and half into Wyoming we blew a tire, and the wind was blowing so hard the van was moving when we had it up on the jack, and we couldnt drive over 55 because of the wind, we went broke on that drive, and at some gas station some worker at the gas station jipped us $12. But when we finally got to Idaho after an 18 hour drive, it was amazing. We played a show for maybe like 20 kids in a shed/garage and we sold around $200 in merch and had a brodown cookout. I love Idaho and all my friends from there. The rest of the tour was filled with seeing some friends in Cali and Az and playing all these towns i would never think we would ever play, espically being from Tennesee. We left the tour in Little Rock, and thats where APFP met up with this killer band called Knives Exchanging Hands. On this tour I learned alot about myself and about the new guys. Cory(our new bass player) and I became really close, its kind of funny because he used to go to Central and I made fun of him there. Weird.
-Now that we are home for awhile, we have began writing for an EP that we plan to put out ourselfs in spring 2008. Since I've been home, I've caught up with some old friends and just been hanging with Sasha and my family alot. It's nice being back and relaxing a bit, besides working alot, but I can't wait to get back on the road again with the new tunes and the new dudes.
- I am stoked on my realonship with Sasha. I am in love with her, everything about her.
I am really stoked to see what we do next as a couple, we have alot going for us and I am so excited about it. I havent felt this way in a long time and I've finally broken my curse of 9 months and I can't wait to make it a year together. It's just so nice to have everyone like us being together, even both of our parents, which is amazing in itself.

thats about it.
look out for the new tunes soon enough.
listen to sleeping giant, go see them feb 9th with us @ rcktwn.

Update [05 Jun 2007|12:54pm]
well tour was a blast, until i got super sick with strep.
I couldnt even finish the last 3 shows we had, and couldnt even talk.
which is due to the hospital in jackson,ms.
they gave me liquids, which i needed to keep cold, but couldnt.
and i told them that. but those meds actually made me a lil sicker.
but now im better, and sasha came and kept me company all weekend while i was getting better.

now i have some resting time before we head out full boar again.

4/20 means many things [19 Apr 2007|06:10pm]
so im sitting here watching bowling for columbine. and 4.20 is usually about getting stoned and being awsome. but something that happened in our lifetime that effect us happend on that day. just remeber what happened on that day. it sucked for all of us that were in school at that time. and now with virgina tech. remeber the loners and give them hope. cause if they have hope then anything good can happen.

just remeber the bad things that happened on this day.

update [16 Apr 2007|02:59pm]
[ music | American Nightmare-Background Music ]

well things have been going great lately.

Alcina is doing awsome, we are going on tour with our good friends in Alert the Sky in May.
We have figured that one of us will prolly go to jail on that tour, it is bound to happen.
Then we are taking June off, to write and record some demo tracks of the new songs, which i am stoked about cause so far the new songs are coming out really goood.

I have an amazing girlfriend finally. its werid. im usually really fickle about realonships but ive known this girl for 4 years and it was right under my nose. Her name is Sasha Park. Shes rules, she keeps me going.

but yeah things are going great and i couldnt be happier right now.

I saw God cry the reflection of my enemies [11 Feb 2007|05:04am]
[ music | Fall Out Boy ]

so recently not much has happened.

my life is amazing. the only thing i would want to change is nothing. which for once i am content with my life.

the band is doing amazing, we had 700 kids at our cd release show, it would have been 900. but thats a different story. and we just got off our winter tour a couple weeks ago, and that thing was the funniest tour ive been on. the stories will come up sooner or later.

i am actually really glad i found this thing again.
i need something to vent, and i like this cause i hate ranting on myspace.

well im going to leave everyone with a couple of things.
live the life you love, make up your mind about anything, dont let any persude you.

the end.

The things we hate to admit [06 Aug 2006|01:08am]
So its been basically a year since i have truely written in this bad boy.
but after i moved back to nashville from phoenix,
me and my boy keyser from the years at dawn fame started writing with that drummer i was going to get to play with ptdowc, but he didnt like miles/jake so me and him went and jammed with keyser, and we decided we wanted to do something so i picked up my boy kyle from the legends never die/plastic glass' fame, and our friend taylor on bass. this creating something so special to me. the band is called " Alcina ". we got the name from an opera by handel, its based about a witch or something. but it also means strongminded. this band has already done so much, we have been on tour for two months, played at cornerstone, have done two demos, one that we are super stoked on and have plans to do alot more. which im even excited about.check us out @ www.myspace.com/alcinatn .

But other than that my heart is in no place but that i am working a full-time job just for the band, and you guys know me i am lazy.
hopefully my time will not be wasted. i love the band. i love the dudes.
